In Duluth, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Minnesota vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Duluth is in Minnesota, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Duluth follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I'm on my way back to the Twin Cities and ran into an urgent brake issue. The team at Automedics was incredibleβ€”they managed to squeeze me into their tight schedule on short notice today. I truly appreciate their quick help and amazing customer service when I needed it most! Looking forward to getting the front brake pads and rotors replaced this afternoon. I have full confidence they will do a fantastic job!

I heard excellent things about automedics, so when I had car troubles, I went there. It was a few months ago and I was suspecting a blown head gasket as smoke was blowing from my exhaust. The guy filled it up with antifreeze and said it leaked out immediately, and he could smell it coming from the exhaust β€œso it’s definitely a blown headgasket and we can’t do that here.” So that was 100$ and took that info to another shop with the same diagnosis, and when they started looking into it, it was in fact not a blown head gasket. When I called automatics and asked them about this, he told me that he didn’t actually look at, rather assumed what it was based on the upfront issues. A little disappointed especially after hearing that they have good honest work, and having to spend an extra couple hundred on diagnostics, and that’s not fun as a broke college student! Nice people though.

Mike was very helpful in getting the spark plugs fixed on my impreza! Very fast and at a fair price.

So kind and helpful. As a woman, it is a relief to deal with an auto mechanic who isn't trying to take advantage of you. Found my issue in under a minute, gave me sound advice, and didn't charge a thing. I will now recommend to everyone just because he didn't try and charge me, and ya'll know the other mechanics would have.

I recently took my LS400 here for oil leaks. I believed it to be the cam seals, which is a pretty big project that involves taking a lot of the engine apart. When the day of the appointment came, they said they'd have it done by the next day, and they did! They also found it to be leaking pretty significantly from other locations. They were very communicative with me, and provided great, honest, in-depth descriptions of what was being done to the car and what was going on with it. I gave them the go ahead to continue working on it. They continued to provide great communication with me and got the job done in a timely manner. Though it was a more expensive repair, the pricing was very fair for what it was. The customer support was great, and I will continue to come back in the future. I would definitely recommend Auto Medics
